Micah Risher

Micah holds an M.Ed. and has been in the language teaching profession since 2001. His passion is linked to humanitarian work through the lens of international education. Most recently he was the Education Program Manager for Save the Children in Afghanistan. Before this he spent two years based in Bangladesh as an English Language Fellow funded by the U.S. Department of State, dividing time between conducting teacher training programs for marginalized Madrassa teachers within the Ministry of Education, and helping local NGOs place teachers and students in academic overseas exchange programs. His personal interests find him traipsing the globe in search of isolated hiking trails and stunning views. He also enjoys dabbling at artistic pursuits, snowboarding down a thick bed of powder, being a has-been marathon runner, and making an annual pilgrimage to see family in New Mexico.
