SIT Language Teacher Training Certificate Course
for International Students

This course is designed specifically for international students who wish to teach English in their own countries.

The requirements for admission to this course are the same as the SIT TESOL Certificate Course. The language proficiency requirement is lower for acceptance into this course

Language Proficiency Requirement:

Applicants need to demonstrate English language proficiency by way of the application process. The minimum equivalent TOEFL is 525 paper-based, 69 internet-based, or 193 computer-based. There will also be an oral interview.

Please note: Enrollment in the course does not guarantee a certificate will be issued.

Visa Considerations: Please note that Global TEFL is not authorized to issue the Form I-20 for an F-1 visa.

Cooperative Agreements: We have a cooperative agreements with DePaul University English Language Academy and Sonoma State University American Language Institute that will allow students to enroll and study in their programs just prior to the certificate course and thereby qualify to receive the Form I-20.
